Plumtree Tabatha

32" Smokey Black Dun Miniature Shetland Mare

In Foal to Bergli Storm for 2022 Foal

DOB: 19/4/2011

Sire: Brandeston Rupert (Palomino Dun)
Dam: Lawston Tiny Torrent (Bay)

Tabatha is a very unusual smokey black dun miniature shetland mare - so carries both cream and dun genes.

She is solid, square, rounded girl, has a pretty head and masses of mane!   She is extremely friendly & loving, never been ill or lame and mares of this colour, type & breeding are a rarity nowadays.

Her breeding is excellent, as you would expect from the Plumtree Stud and includes well known prefixes such as Firth, Fairy, Tawna and Kerswell.

She has previously produced a stunning Cremello Dun Colt and is currently in foal to my Chestnut Mushroom Stallion - Bergli Storm for a 2022 foal. This foal will be extra special because it could carry cream, dun and mushroom!

Tabatha will live out and stable, leads. grooms, easy to catch, enjoys lots of fuss and is a complete pleasure to own  She is SPSBS registered, regularly wormed, had her feet trimmed by my farrier on 3rd August and is ready for her new home.

Tabatha foaled without issue and is a very attentive, easy going mum so would be ideal for a small stud or family home who want a mare who knows what they are doing. Alternatively, she would make an excellent therapy pony, companion or family friend.

She does have a 20p size hole on her underjaw which was as a result of a tooth growing outwards as a youngster. At the time, the issue was resolved and X-rays taken but the Vet advised that unfortunately the hole would remain, it would need the hair kept trimmed around it and Vaseline applied to keep it clean.

This is a hard sale of a mare I never thought I would part with but she will be totally wasted with me now I am no longer breeding Shetlands and is too young & special to be a field ornament.
