Bertie was bought as a foal direct from Tawna Stud to bring some different breed lines & colour to my dilute girls.

 

He is small, stocky, with great leg bone and an abundance of thick black hair - plus the most pretty (for a boy!) small head with beautiful round eyes. He truly is very handsome!

 

Bertie is very self assured considering his age, bold yet well-mannered and is very willing to please - definite qualities I want in a Stallion. Plus he gives the best cuddles!

 

His markings are minimal, with 4 white socks and he is a super dark, conker bay colour which I love! Plus he has been DNA tested & carries the Mushroom Gene.

I am really excited to see what Bertie produces with my girls in terms of shape, temperament and colour - possibly a mushroom or maybe a homozygous tobiano too I hope!

 

Bertie is very mature for his age and ran with his first girls in 2024. His maturity, confidence & instinctive nature came to the fore and both girls have had super foals! A very striking Dilute Black Tobiano Colt and a very elegant Palomino Dun Filly.

He is still very young and has lots of filling out to do but boy, is he going to be a handsome Stallion in a few years!

 

In May 2025, he was put forward for his VVE & SPSBS Licensing and I am pleased to say he sailed through!
